Introduction

In 2010 the OTS conference will be held for the fifteenth time! Together we walked the path from the introduction of the object concepts at planning and implementation levels to business objects and components, enforcment of multi-layer architectures to upgrades in the form of semantically interoperable services and ecosystems. Apart from use of XML based languages, high level of abstraction and independency of actual platforms are one of the most typical goals while developing IT solutions. We would like focus on the basic mission, that we in IT are performing: providing solutions and services to both businesses and individuals in order to enable easier work and to help making right decisions in a given context.

The conference focus is on the following areas: service infrastructures, user-centric e-service and e-content development, service evaluation and adaptation. These areas, when properly addressed, give companies competitive advantage and enable them to join service ecosystems. The conference topics are closely connected with the strategic research agenda of the Slovenian Technology Platform for Software and Services, the European NESSI platform as well as with other technology platforms from the ICT area.

The OTS 2010 central point is still on the current trends in IT development and services of the future internet. The conference will address topics such as: open standards, interoperability, integration, agile development, security and safety, digital identity, data availability as well as quality of service and processes. The papers will present research results, development achievements and future trends on the above mentioned areas. These areas also need appropriate methods, organizational approaches, development tools, frameworks and technologies. Finally, the conference aim is to address semantic collaboration and efficient knowledge management in order to promote adaptable business processes.

Once again we would like to invite you to participate at the OTS conference - OTS 2010.
